Dance Recital

This weekend was Emily's dance recital. She's been working on the 2 dances (jazz and tap) since December and the day was finally here to show off her moves. Most people dread these events, but I very much look forward to them. I have to confess, I love dressing her up like a Barbie and I beam with pride when I see her on stage.

This is her 3rd year doing dance. It's amazing to see the 3 yr olds on stage and remember that was her 2 years ago. They looks so small - and uncoordinated!

Next year she is joining the dance team. The are more practices during the week and they compete a few times throughout the year. We'll see how it goes. I am trying my best not to turn into one of "those fanatical mum's". I'll let her continue with dance until she is interested in trying something new. But as long as she loves to dance, I will love dressing her up!
